The Land of Port

We made it to the land of port! After a mishap at another hotel we are settling at the River Place for a relaxing evening in. This place is the good gravy - great views of the river, bridges, park, and city plus super comfy digs and really nice folks at the desk. We're totally hotel snobs thanks to the M&M's spoiling and this one is right up there with the bestest!

The drive was pretty quick - from SF to Port was about 11 hours - there were some real exciting patches with near zero visibility - going forty mph with big rigs whilin' tothe right and only 'some dude's tail lights to guide us forward was kinda sketchy - tho I'm, likely exaggerating some in my recollection...

Portland is cooler than I remember. We drove around some and it rubbed us right. Last time here we liked the scenery but the city was lack luster. We'll see more manaña when the berns's native friend from work shows us around.
